The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the professional association of certified public accountants representing over 11,000 members, has unveiled a new visual identity and changed its acronym from MSCPA to MassCPAs.

The decision to become MassCPAs resulted from surveys and focus groups conducted with MassCPAs’ members and Board of Directors who gave their feedback throughout the process. The move was made to show who the Society connects, protects and advances — Massachusetts CPAs. This new acronym also distinguishes the organization from others, including the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) and the Montana Society of CPAs (also MSCPA).

“With new generations of CPAs entering the profession, it was time to refresh our look to ensure that we continue to appeal and be magnetic to our members,” said Amy Pitter, president and CEO of MassCPAs. “The Society is excited to unveil a new visual identity that is reflective of our forward-thinking initiatives and our mission to protect, enhance and promote the value of being a CPA in Massachusetts.”

By remaining relevant and attractive to future generations of Massachusetts CPAs, MassCPAs can continue to grow and remain the largest, most influential association of accounting and finance professionals in the Commonwealth.
